The Dynamite controlled-release formula lasts up to 9 months so you only have to feed once per growing season. For new plants and transplants, sprinkle Dynamite into the hole near the roots and then backfill. For established plants, just sprinkle on top of the soil and gently work it in. Always water thoroughly. Each Dynamite product label provides an easy-to-follow chart that lists the suggested application amounts. It also lists the analysis of the formula including the Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium content and the micro-nutrient content. There is no risk of over-feeding with Dynamite. The coating process is so controlled that you will not burn your plants even if you accidently overfeed. Dynamite works great on plants in the ground or in containers – indoors or out.

The secret to the best looking plants with the least effort is in the Dynamite coating. This coating prevents “flashing” or quick release of nutrients during heavy rains thus protecting the environment.

Each Dynamite Plant Food “prill” is wrapped in a special resin coating that ensures controlled and precise release of the nutrients inside. There is an agent that allows water to penetrate and then release the nutrient into the surrounding soil. The prills will not crack or break, which prevents excessive nutrient release and minimizes nutrient runoff into the ground water. The special coating ensures that the nutrients release evenly over the entire 9 month period.

Each Dynamite prill contains major nutrients nitrogen (N) , phosphorous (P) and potassium (K) plus micro-nutrients like iron, magnesium, manganese, copper, zinc, boron and molybdenum (as established by the respective product analysis).

And Dynamite Plant Food feeds in average temperatures up to 77 degrees (other products can only sustain average soil temperatures of 70 degrees). Dynamite won’t ‘flash out’ but will maintain its integrity and continue to release nutrients for up to 9 months.

Preventing Runoff

Dynamite Plant Food’s patented coating technology is what minimizes the possibility of nutrient run off that often occurs with fertilizers and plant foods. The coating maintains integrity under periods of environmental stress and will not allow nutrients to ‘flash out’ or dump during high temperatures or heavy rain. This prevents the release of more fertilizer than the plant can absorb at any one time. Other granular or time release fertilizers allow heat and heavy rain to cause nutrients to run off into the groundwater.

Nitrogen source does makes a difference

Our advanced controlled release system delivers nutrients to your plants when they need them. This allows maximum uptake of nutrients to the plant while minimizing excess run off of nutrients into ground water.

Dynamite Complete Plant Food contains ammoniacal and nitrate nitrogen rather than cheaper urea nitrogen. A large majority of plants cannot absorb urea nitrogen until it is first broken down into ammoniacal and nitrate nitrogen forms. This is called the nitrification cycle and takes time for the urea to break down in the soil and become available to the plant roots. During periods of heavy rainfall, urea fertilizers is not absorbed by plants and is leached into the groundwater contributing to groundwater pollution. Environmentally friendly Dynamite Complete Plant Food is the preferable choice for homeowners over urea-based fertilizers and plant foods.
