Turf Mountain Sod is a family enterprise that has been in business since 1987. Hiring the right employees makes our company what it is. Fred Pittillo, the company's president, feels extremely fortunate to be able to work with the employees to plan and foresee the outcomes that progress.



Over twenty years ago, Fred knew that he was ready to get out of the dairy business but wanted to keep the farm together. He wanted something to pass on to his children. He decided to try to grow sod, less than 1 acre was grown that first year, and now we farm sod and soybeans.
