When we design gloves we listen to the users needs. To create a glove model that addresses specific work environments and fit specifications is quite the challenge. What designs provide durability or precision? What reinforcements and protection are needed?



A glove often consists of multiple materials: fabric, leather, water proof membranes, insulation, and linings. These materials need to work together in unison to form a functional work glove that protects the hand, provides good dexterity and fits comfortably. There are many design thoughts that need to be considered in order to make this happen. Therefore, finding the correct balance between the different materials is very important. To create a work glove for each hand and JOB we have developed nearly 50 models at Hestra JOB. 75 years ago throw away gloves was an unknown concept. Today at Hestra it is still the same…”We build gloves to last, not to throw away”.
