Sierra Biological started life by rearing and supplying growers with parasitic nematodes - naturally occurring biological control agents that attack pest insects in the soil. Unlike some producers that use only in vitro methods, we have always reared our nematodes on intact insect hosts. This allows the natural host-finding behavior of the nematodes to be expressed and helps ensure a quality product.

Sierra Biological has now expanded its activities to embrace the production and supply of a wide range of other naturally occurring biological control agents for insect and mite pests on a variety of crops.
