Valencia College
Students at Valencia's Osceola Campus have planted vegetable gardens -- and are providing produce to Central Avenue Elementary School, a Kissimmee school that the campus "adopted" this year. Next week, student and staff volunteers will deliver a harvest of lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, and basil, which the school cafeteria will use in their school lunches. In addition to providing produce, dozens of faculty, staff, and students are serving as mentors to third and fourth graders at the school.
