We made our first appearance on the marketplace in 1993 growing and selling bedding plants in Chilliwack. By the grace of God and with the help of family, friends and dedicated employees, our business grew steadily. In 2000, Devan Greenhouses moved from its modest beginnings to its new facility in Abbotsford. The present facility is a completely brand new glass greenhouse, built and installed with all the latest technology.

Our growing facility measures 1.6 hectares, including a new expansion in 2003 incorporating open roof technology. Part of our growing facility specializes in propagation, where we vegetatively propagate a wide range of plants. The majority of our growing space is dedicated to finishing bedding annuals on concrete ebb and flood floors. Our popular spring hanging baskets are hung up on Echo and Boomerang basket systems. We maximize the use of our growing space so that we can grow more efficiently and bring you the best possible plant at the best possible price. We are constantly improving the way we grow, all the while striving to grow in an environmentally sustainable way. In 2006, owner Pieter Debruin won the “Outstanding Young Farmer” (BC Region) award and he continues to foster Devan Greenhouses to not only be a healthy company in itself but also a positive presence in the local community.
